Last month I shared some of my fav books on my shelf that I’ll never get rid of. As in even if a bestie says, “Hey you have a copy of Dare to Lead, can I borrow it?” _and I reply, “not on your life!” Yeah, they’re that marked up with notes, arrows, highlights that I cannot afford for it to go missing. (Sorry besties, but even I’ve been known to forget I have someone’s book!)
Now, I have a whole other juicy list of books to share with you. These are speaker friends of mine that either wrote or finished a book during COVID that you just have to read.
Best Day Ever – (Jessica Potts)
How to know and find your way back to your best life based on your strengths and passions. If this year has sucked the air out of the joy in your life, and you want it back, this book is for you. You may also want to give it a read if slowing down and being less busy has made you confront the question, “am I living and working a life that I love?”
Success/Energy Equation – (Michelle Cederberg)
If you want the goods on goals, Michelle’s your gal. Former personal trainer, she knows what it takes to realize big dreams and make them a reality. Life gets in the way sometimes, not to mention our mindset, limiting beliefs, demands of others, judgements, labels (need I go on?) If you want energy through intentional focus and fulfillment, you’ll love this book.
The Powerhouse In You – (Cate Collins)
Come from the not-for-profit world B.S. (before speaking…yeah there’s a pun in there), I experienced firsthand the demands and overwhelm of wanting to do the right thing with so little time, resources and talent. Cate’s magic is helping NFP leaders, particularly women, reconnect with their inner powerhouse so they have more clarity, confidence and self-compassion. Through her four-room model, she helps helpers stay resourceful enough to fundraise, support and caregiver for another day.
And for fun…
Sacred Summer – (Risa Seelenfreund)
Most of the books I’ve listed above I have a personal connection with as they were created in a book accountability group I ran last year. Risa came to our group bursting with passion to share the resiliency she and her family found at the front end of COVID. She shares how she and her family navigated their way through the first summer of the pandemic with unexpected abundance. It feels like you have a front-row seat to her family’s experience with pictures, stories, and practical suggestions.
This is only the beginning! I will share more book recommendations with you as more rockstars from our writing group release their incredible books.
In the meantime, do you have any of my books? I’d so appreciate a quick rating on Goodreads as it helps others to make informed buying decisions. Thanks!
If you would like information on any of my books, they’re all available on Goodreads.
